Client: Haddy | Time: 2023 | Credit: Industrial Designer| Projects: 1 | Industry: Furniture

Haddy was born from the vision of creating a new generation of furniture powered by large-scale additive manufacturing. Working as a Concept Industrial Designer, I collaborated in the development of products that combined contemporary aesthetics, manufacturing innovation, and user-centered thinking. The project explored how digital fabrication could unlock new possibilities in furniture design while maintaining a strong emotional connection between object and user.

OVERVIEW Product Design

MY ROLE
• Concept Industrial Designer
• Product Development
• Design Strategy
• CMF Exploration
• Visualization
• Design Storytelling

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
• Developed concepts for a new furniture collection
• Created design proposals for indoor and outdoor environments
• Participated in product strategy discussions
• Collaborated with international teams across multiple countries
• Explored the design possibilities of large-scale 3D printing
• Supported visual communication and product development efforts

CHALLENGE
For decades, furniture design has been shaped by the limitations of traditional manufacturing.

Large-scale additive manufacturing challenged that reality, opening the door to forms, structures, and production methods that were previously impossible to achieve. The challenge was no longer asking "Can we manufacture this?" but rather "What should furniture become when manufacturing is no longer the limitation?"

Every concept needed to balance innovation with functionality, ensuring that bold ideas remained emotionally engaging, structurally feasible, and true to the vision of creating a completely new product ecosystem.

DESIGN THINKING
The design process began with possibility rather than constraint.

Instead of adapting concepts to existing manufacturing methods, every exploration embraced the freedom offered by large-scale 3D printing. Organic geometries, continuous surfaces, modular thinking, and material efficiency became fundamental design drivers throughout the project.

Mood boards, sketch exploration, CMF studies, and visualization worked together to evaluate not only aesthetics, but also how each product could communicate warmth, personality, and contemporary living.

Working alongside multidisciplinary teams across multiple countries, the project evolved through constant iteration, transforming emerging technologies into products that felt approachable, functional, and emotionally connected to their users.

REFLECTION
Haddy changed the way I think about industrial design.

It demonstrated that innovation is not simply about adopting new technologies—it is about understanding how those technologies can redefine the relationship between people, products, and manufacturing.

The project reinforced the importance of curiosity, experimentation, and collaboration in the early stages of design, where the greatest opportunities often emerge before the first prototype is ever produced.

Looking back, Haddy wasn't just an exploration of furniture design—it was an exploration of what becomes possible when creativity is finally allowed to lead manufacturing instead of following it.
